4. Instructions:
   • Certified Fire Explorers shall use this form to schedule a Ride-Along. 
   • Application must be submitted a minimum of 1-week prior to requested date. 
   • Approval for Ride-Along is up to the discretion of the on-duty Captain. 
   • Only one (1) Explorer may Ride-Along at the station per day. 
   • Explorer is responsible for checking their email for Ride-along status "approved or denied". 
   • Do not show up to any station unless you have received an approval email confirming the Ride-Along.
   • Explorer shall not cancel a scheduled Ride-Along unless sick or a family emergency arises. If the need to cancel arises, immediately notify the fire department by emailing WestCovinaFireExplorers@westcovina.org.

    • If Explorer is less than 18 years of age, Explorer may only perform a 12-hour Ride-along. Explorer must be out of the Fire Station by 2100 hours.
    • If Explorer is 18 years of age or older, Explorer can perform a 12-hour / 24-hour Ride-along. 
    • Explorers cannot perform Ride-Along greater than 24- hours.
